Senior Project Accountant

About the position

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Finance Degree or National Diploma (NQF 6)
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Familiar with RSA Financial Statutory and Tax requirements
• Valid Driver's License, own transport and willing to travel

The incumbent will be responsible for project accounting, project forecasting, project reporting process for various projects, provide insightful monthly analysis and reporting on the performance against budgets and forecasts.

DUTIES:

• Preparation, analysis, monitoring and reporting project financial including budgets, expenditure, forecasts and cash flow
• Identifying and reporting on expenditure, budget, and income variations as well as implementing monitoring processes to provide for effective project management
• Preparation and update of budgets and forecasts including robust review and challenge of numbers, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Create reports and provide analysis in a short time frame
• Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to Project Managers, and the Corporate and Project Finance Manager
• Close out project accounts upon project completion
• Compile information for auditors as required
