Senior Process Engineer / Manager - Mineral Processing Capital Equipment

About the position

A well-known engineering company requires the above to be responsible for managing and running plant manufacturing specific processes within the mineral processing industry meeting specified specification and cost targets. The company is also wanting someone who can eventually head up and run the business long term.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary qualification B.Eng Degree in Chemical Engineering is essential for this role.
• Previous experience having worked as a Process Engineer within the capital equipment / mining / mineral processing industries is essential for the role
• Good computer skills (MS Office).
• Must have a solid understanding of flow sheets and instrumentation diagrams.
• A solid understanding of metallurgical processes and process engineering is required.
• A solid understanding of project management and execution is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and running plant manufacturing specific processes within the mineral processing industry meeting specified specification and cost targets. The company is also wanting someone who can eventually head up and run the business long term.
• Costing of equipment and preparing bid or tenders for clients.
• Conducting test work and advising of process improvement.
• Developing process flow sheets and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Assisting with responses to client enquiries and assessing requirements.
• Assisting with overseeing the process of commissioning as part of the process team.
• Establishing relationship with customers.
• Processing orders and mechanical designs for the required equipment.
• Following up on submissions and resolving any queries or changes to requirements.
• Commissioning installations to ensure satisfaction at customer premises.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
