About the position
We are seeking a skilled and analytical professional to join a leading investment environment as a Senior Performance & Attribution Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in investment performance measurement, data integrity, and portfolio analysis.
Key Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- CFA, CIPM or similar
- 5–8 years’ experience in performance measurement and attribution
- Strong understanding of investment portfolios (listed and unlisted)
- Experience with performance systems (e.g. StatPro, HiPortfolio or similar)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage data reconciliation across performance and source systems
- Calculate and validate portfolio returns (time- and money-weighted)
- Analyse portfolio performance drivers across asset classes and sectors
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
- Monitor benchmark performance and provide insights on risk and return
- Maintain and enhance performance models
- Ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards
- Support and mentor junior team members
Key Skills:
- Strong financial and analytical capability
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Solid understanding of performance & attribution methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Location: Pretoria
