About the position
A well-established financial services business is seeking to appoint a Senior Officer: Skills Development
Reporting to the Manager: Learning and Development the successful incumbent is responsible to coordinate various skills development initiatives aligned to the skills development legislative environment to ensure that the company is in compliance with the Skills Development legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development/ Human Resource Management/ Business Administration related qualification.
- Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development (ODETDP qualification) will be an added advantage.
- Relevant 4 years’ experience in a Learning and Development environment of which 1 year must be on a supervisory level.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required:
- Planning, organising and coordinating.
- Personal mastery.
- Judgment and decision making.
- Ethics and values.
- Client service orientation.
- Communication skills.
- Knowledge of Skills Development Act.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
