Job Title:
Senior Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
Grade: T12
Client:
A national supplier of quality chicken products with operations in five provinces.
Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing our client's Occupational Health Clinics and delivering optimized medical care to employees. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, promotes employee wellness, and provides leadership to the clinic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Medical Surveillance and Employee Wellness Programmes.
- Manage and optimize clinic resources, supplies, and consumables.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the clinic team.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
- Collate data and prepare accurate clinic reports as required.
- Monitor and control departmental costs and budgets.
- Analyze and report on health issues, incidents, accidents, and emerging trends.
- Participate in and make recommendations to the Health & Safety Committee and other forums.
- Ensure the clinic is fully equipped and prepared for all foreseeable medical emergencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification (B.Cur or Diploma in Nursing).
- Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing.
- Certificate in Audiometry and Spirometry.
- Valid dispensing license.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing an Occupational Health Clinic.
- Valid registration with SANC and SASOHN.
- Ability to communicate in isiXhosa will be advantageous.
