About the position
The incumbent is responsible for designing and creating computer networks within the organisation and ensuring that they are working properly.
A key responsibility of the role is to ensure compliance with the Company Management System; this includes but is not limited to the ISO [Phone Number Removed]; and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Role reports to the Head of IT.

Additional Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
- Assessing current network capacity and planning for future growth and upgrades
- Ensuring that network designs and implementations comply with industry standards, regulations and Company frameworks (PCI-DSS 4.0, ISO[Phone Number Removed]; and SCO2)
- Working closely with other IT teams, such as systems administrators, security teams, and service desk to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services and standby support
- Providing training and mentoring to junior network engineers and other IT staff
- Leading and managing network-related projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management
Requirements:
- Matric
- IT Diploma
- ITIL Foundation
- Demonstrable technology orientation, management skills, knowledge of technological trends, ability to conduct technology research and analysis and demonstrable technology implementation capability
- Predisposition towards forward thinking - being aware of new trends and being adoptive and proactive by nature. Keeping pace with security trends and requirements are a key requirement
