Positions Specifications:
- CCNP R&S / HCIP Datacom required.
- IT diploma (or equivalent NQF6). Required
- IT related degree (or equivalent NQF6) or TOGAF & ITIL certification will be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid and active Cisco CCNP or Huawei HCIP Certifications (Datacom).
- 5 years' experience in Cisco Products and/or Huawei Enterprise Infrastructure.
- Handle all the daily operations and procedures relating to client.
- Run and always reinforce the alignment of all initiatives to the company goals, values, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop inventive solutions to improve customer experience.
- Work with Operations and Safety Manager ensuring effective operations of the environment.
- Ensure that all the client service requests are resolved.
- Escalation and fault management.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure management of metrics and SLA's.
- Assist with Incident Management (internally).
- Change/Problem Management and Major Incident Management.
- Build and maintain trusted, profitable relationships with key customers.
- Resolve customer complaints swiftly and efficiently.
- Keep Operations and Safety Manager updated on the latest products improvements and features.
- Know your competition and strategize accordingly.
- Ensure day to day operations and project delivery.
- Provide Escalation Engineering assistance.
- Work Closely with Senior and Principal Network Architects regarding current and new solution designs.
- Work with Sizwe team for to help build Huawei, Cisco and HPE Aruba BOM's and HLD's.
- Assist with the current Huawei SDWAN deployments and operations.
- Involved with mine process networks, IOT sensors, Huawei LTE Unlicensed Open Pit mobile units.
- Huawei Microwave and DAU units deployment and operation.
- 5 Years experience with Cybersecurity Products - Palo Alto, and other related.
- Formal international Cisco CCNP and/or Huawei HCIP certification to be updated on a regular basis.
- The inclination to act analytical by applying analytical skills in resolving networking outages.
- May be required to work overtime within a 24/7 customer SLA environment.
- All tasks and responsibilities as specified by the company procedures and policies references, including references to all staff and generic terms such as Executive Management.
- Must have own car with valid license.
Key Tasks:
- Familiarization, adherence and compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Familiarization, adherence and compliance with all applicable ISO 9000 processes and procedures
- Preventative maintenance act6ions are initiated in accordance with policies and procedures, or
- Maintenance actions are initiated by a fault incident.
- Determine the nature of the maintenance in accordance with the incident/schedule.
- Consult the relevant work instructions/procedures to determine the maintenance actions required.
- Complete the preventative maintenance in accordance with procedures or identify the faults utilising the relevant diagnostics.
- Repair faults in accordance with standards and specifications or follow prescribed escalation path for a solution.
- Test the solution to ensure functionality.
- Implement the solution in accordance with procedures and monitor the solution for functionality on the site.
- Provide feedback to the relevant role players.
- Document results for future reference purposes.
- Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
- Conduct preventative maintenance within allocated time frames.
- Responsible to ensure quality assurance on all network designs and installations conducted.
- Required to execute a duly executed appointment form at Site in the presence of the Mine Manager or his appointed representative before commencing work on the Site.
- Ensure vehicles and tool of trade are operational and available to carry out duties, manage the vehicle logbook for compliancy to travel and fuel usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff.
- Ensure site medical examinations for yourself is checked and completed as per customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines by team in all aspects of service delivery, including, training, medical examinations, the deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure in mining environments.
- Ensure proper PPE attire is used and in place for site/project requirements.
- Managing and controlling the exposure of hazardous chemical substances.
- Conducting and implementing safe operating and working procedures.
- Compliance with OSHAS 18001 standards.
- Compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No. 29 of 1996) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 85 of 1993.
- Customer and Product knowledge.
- Be proficient in presentation skills, planning and execution of networking tasks and activities.
- Prepare training and development plans for yourself, bearing in mind your weakness, career and objectives.

- Always ensure Health and Safety adherence withing Mining client requirements.
- Ensure your Health and Safety requirements are up to date for compliance at Mining sites.
- Any ad-hoc functions required to perform from Management from time to time
