As a Senior Networking Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures for a wide range of clients. This is a strategic, hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about network architecture, cybersecurity, and innovation in the MSP space
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage robust network solutions (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless)
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through to post-deployment support
- Configure and optimize network equipment (firewalls, routers, switches) across client sites
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure best-practice security enforcement
- Troubleshoot complex network issues in diverse client environments
- Monitor and analyze traffic to detect threats and ensure secure connectivity
- Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership in network strategy
- Maintain accurate documentation of network designs, changes, and configurations
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in networking technologies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience (MSP experience a strong plus)
- Advanced expertise with Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent enterprise network platforms
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, firewalls, and VPNs
- Familiarity with network monitoring and performance tools
- Strong grasp of network security principles and implementation
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent industry credentials
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively
