Jordan HR is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Senior Medical Recruitment Consultant to join our dynamic Cape Town team.
We are looking for someone who knows the recruitment industry, thrives on business development and has the confidence, resilience and ability to build, grow and manage their own successful desk.
THE ROLE

• Proactively identify, cold call and secure new clients through business development.
• Conduct regular client visits and build strong, lasting business relationships.
• Recruit and place temporary, locum and permanent healthcare professionals.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and interviewing to negotiating and closing placements and contracts.
• Take full ownership of your desk, clients, candidates and revenue targets.
• Develop new business opportunities and grow a profitable client portfolio.
• Manage the demands of a fast-paced, 24/7 locum environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience in agency recruitment, preferably within the medical or healthcare sector.
• Experience in nursing, pharmaceutical, occupational health or other healthcare professional recruitment.
• Strong cold calling, negotiation and client relationship skills.
• A natural business developer who is confident engaging with clients and conducting face-to-face visits.
• A self-starter who is resilient, energetic, commercially minded and able to think on their feet.
• Someone who thrives under pressure and is motivated by targets and commission.
• The ability to work independently, take accountability and run their desk with minimal supervision.
• Matric certificate essential.

THIS IS NOT A CLOCK-WATCHING POSITION!
We are looking for an experienced professional who understands the demands of agency recruitment, takes genuine ownership of their desk and is prepared to go the extra mile when business requires it.
Medical recruitment doesn't always happen between 08:00 and 16:00. Our clients and candidates depend on us, and we need someone who understands that commitment, flexibility and accountability are part of the role.
