Senior Mechanical Draughtsman

About the position

Our Client in the Engineering Industry is searching for a Senior Mechanical Draughtsman with a minimum of 5 years of experience within the following industries the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or similar sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Miscellaneous tasks such as vendor work inspections, material take-offs, standard drawings, and detail drawings.
• Production of drawings on time and within budget.
• Production of drawings in accordance with established procedures, i.e., internal review, client review, checking, etc.
• Create accurate technical drawings/specifications.
• Produce adequate graphical information for procedures/standards or other technical
• documentation.
• Evaluate the adequacy of technical drawings in compliance of the drawing standards
• and design requirements (engage effectively with engineers)

Requirements

• Tertiary Technical Qualification in Mechanical Draughting
• Must have strong Mechanical Background in Power Station Environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of Mechanical design experience in the design office and in the field
• Software knowledge i.e Autodesk Inventor
• A good understanding of the operation of belt conveyors and their various components.
• Must be willing to travel to site.
