QUALIFICATIONS

• Honours BCom Finance degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 8)
• Relevant MComm, MBA or MSc in Real Estate would be advantageous

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 - 12 years' experience within the Property Investment Industry at Senior Management with at least 5 years' experience of managing direct reports
• Knowledge of Property Asset Management, Property Management, Property Law, Property Development, Property Acquisition & Disposal, Accounting and performance calculation
• Sound, Strong and Ethical Leadership
• FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the position is to oversee property portfolios of both direct assets and investment vehicles pertaining to the directly held portfolio. This work experience must be evident in your CV.

The following details are ESSENTIAL and NON-NEGOTIABLE for the role:

• This is a DIRECTLY HELD role, the Candidate MUST have 10 - 12 years physical property portfolio management experience
• Must know how to perform PROPERTY EVALUATIONS on developing properties.
• Someone who is immersed in real estate and been in asset management from a Directly Held perspective for over 10 years
• Qualifications NQF level 8 Non-negotiable
• Is responsible for 9 direct reports - strong people management skills required
• To manage 150 properties with a portfolio value of R18billion
• Will be required to attend and Report at board meetings, etc
• Hybrid model 3 days in office, 2 days remote
• Candidate to come from the Retail properties industry or to have Industrial Properties portfolio management experience at senior management level

JOB DUTIES

• Effective management and oversight of property portfolio of direct assets and related investment vehicles
• Ensure achievement of market related returns on investments and on the existing portfolio
• Growth and Development of the portfolio in line with the requirements of the mandate and strategy- Unlocking value for clients through underlying asset strategies
• Manage risk to ensure stability of cash flows
• Initiation of effective internal business processes and procedures for the achievement of better efficiencies
• Accurately report to Board, and relevant committees
• Oversight and development of investment strategies at a building and portfolio level
• Oversight and implementation of sustainable initiatives to drive efficiencies at a building and portfolio level-
