About the position

A well-established organisation focused on driving innovation, industrial development, and economic growth is seeking to appoint a Senior Manager: Digital Industries on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives that support the development and growth of smart and advanced industries, including digital transformation, technology-driven sectors, and industrial innovation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing programmes, managing strategic partnerships, and supporting industry growth through high-impact projects and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement strategic initiatives and programmes related to smart and advanced industries.
  • Develop and drive industry development strategies aligned with organisational and regional economic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, technology adoption, and industrial growth.
  • Manage and oversee projects, programmes, and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Engage with government entities, private sector organisations, academic institutions, and technology partners.
  • Monitor programme performance and ensure effective delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Conduct industry research and market analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • A postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or Information
  • 5 years' experience within industry development, innovation, technology, or economic development environments.
  • Proven experience in strategic programme management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of smart industries, digital transformation, or technology ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of regional innovation policies, systems and programmes
  • Experience working with public sector or multi-stakeholder environments.
