About the position
Drive strategic financial insight as a Senior Management Accountant. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee management accounting functions, ensuring accurate cost analysis and performance reporting within a manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will provide critical financial insight, support operational decision-making, and ensure robust financial controls. You will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes, partnering with operations to improve efficiency and profitability. The role requires a strong technical background and the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct product costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting.
- Maintain and review standard costing, job costing, and WIP reconciliations.
- Provide financial insight to production and operational management teams.
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock control processes.
- Oversee and improve financial reporting systems and ERP functionalities.
- Participate in ERP and process improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain financial models and performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance.

Requirements:
- Minimum B.Com (Accounting / Management Accounting / Finance) or equivalent.
- CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ management accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in product costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems; Power BI exposure advantageous.
- Experience leading or supervising junior finance staff (preferred).
- Availability to commence January 2025.
Remuneration:
R55,000 – R60,000 per month
