Senior Litigation Secretary (Medical)

About the position

A well-established national law firm in Brooklyn, Pretoria, specialising in litigation and personal injury law, seeks an experienced Senior Litigation Secretary to support its medical department.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and secretarial support to directors and associates
• Manage communication: screen calls, take messages, and relay urgent information
• Type legal documents, affidavits, memos, opinions, and correspondence
• Organise and prepare litigation bundles, briefs, and hospital records
• Liaise with counsel, agents, and support departments (Accounts, IT, HR)
• Attend to diary management, file opening, AJS updates, and FICA compliance
• Handle cheque requisitions, receipts, and payment instructions
• Support debtors’ management and disbursement planning
• Provide overflow assistance and personal admin as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in litigation secretarial work, ideally in personal injury
• High-level accuracy and fast typing skills
• Strong organisational skills and professional communication abilities
