Division: Heritage Information, Policy and Skills Development.
Location: Zonnebloem - Cape Town Head Office.
Approved Grade: C4.
Annual Salary: R327 209,00 per annum.

The person in this role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the National Heritage Resources Library, as prescribed by section 13 (2b) of the National Heritage Resources Act (Act 25 of 1999).
KPA 1: Management of People.

KPA 3: Management of National Heritage Resources Library Operations and Processes.
KPA 4: Promotion of the National Heritage Resources Library.
KPA 5: Financial Management.

Degree in librarianship, or similar, with at least 3 years of work experience library and archives environment in a public or research library. Experience in supervising teams and employees is essential.
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
A valid Code EB (08) driver's license.
Computer literacy with regard to the use of Excel, Word and Power Point.
