About the position
A biotechnology company that develops and manufactures eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic antimicrobial/antiviral disinfectants requires the above to drive and manage Distributors and Key Accounts on a national basis, expanding their portfolio of products and customers within the Chemical Manufacturing industries.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in either Chemistry or Microbiology, or Chemical/Process Engineering or a related qualification is preferred for this role.
- Previous Key Account Sales experience, having worked within the chemical, disinfectants, or related industries, is essential.
- Previous experience having managed Channel Partners/Distributors is advantageous but not essential.
- Must have strong negotiation skills, with a focus on the total cost of ownership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and driving Distributors and Key Accounts on a national basis expanding their portfolio of products and customers within the chemical manufacturing and related industries.
- Developing and executing sales strategies for both formulators (detergent/disinfectant) and large industrial chemical and related clients.
- Building strong relationships across multiple stakeholders (operations, engineering, EHS, procurement, finance).
- Positioning environmentally benign biocides and diagnostic technologies as cost-effective, reliable, and future-proof alternatives.
- Achieving sales and margin targets while contributing to long-term customer retention.
- Providing input into product development and customer feedback loops.
- Representing and attending relevant industry networks, standards bodies, and customer workshops.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
