About the position

We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to help us revolutionize the software development industry! If you're a Java guru with a passion for Java-related technologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions, join us, and let's create magic!


 


What you’ll do:



  • Write and enhance Java code for new features and APIs, utilizing frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.

  • Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile practices.

  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure code reliability and performance.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and assist in data migration projects.

  • Create technical documentation and ensure applications adhere to banking security standards.


 

Your expertise:



  • At least 6 years in the following technologies:



  • Java, Spring and Spring Boot.

  • Running on Kubernetes (Rancher and Openshift), i.e. docker containers

  • Contract-first API development, using OpenAPI/Swagger specification

  • Familiar with the use of PKI for securing API calls

  • Experience with Apache Kafka

  • Experience with distributed logging tools

  • Experience with JSON, XML, JPA, JAAS, SLF4J

  • Some background in mobile application development (Although FNB uses a custom framework)

  • Familiarity for agile terminology and processes (Although these are very loosely followed)

  • Postgres DB
