Senior IT Release and Change Manager (SvW)

About the position

• The IT Release and Change Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of IT releases and changes within the organization.


• This role ensures that all changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently while minimizing disruption to services.


• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing complex IT projects


• Be able to teach scrum practices and principles


• Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure successful release execution.


• Create and maintain release schedules, ensuring timely delivery of software and updates.


• Conduct post-release reviews to assess the success of releases and identify areas for improvement.


• Act as a point of contact for all change and release-related inquiries.

Minimum Requirements:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Develop and implement change management processes and procedures.


• Assess and prioritize change requests based on business impact and risk.


• Facilitate change advisory board (CAB) meetings to review and approve changes.


• Monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives


• Plan and coordinate IT releases, ensuring alignment with business objectives.


• Maintain comprehensive documentation of change and release processes.


• Generate regular reports on change and release activities, including metrics and KPIs.


• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including IT teams and business units.


• Provide training and support to staff on change and release management processes.


• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


• 6+ years of experience in IT change and release management.


• Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.


• Experience with change management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).


• Excellent organizational and project management skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
