About the position
The Senior Infrastructure Analyst provides technical leadership and operational oversight for the Investment Platform’s infrastructure services. The role ensures platform resilience, performance, and risk alignment, acting as a key interface between internal stakeholders, the Group, and third-party service providers including Bravura, Singular, Quazar, and other relevant service providers.
In addition to hands-on technical responsibilities, the role includes mentorship, incident leadership, capacity analysis, and contribution to operational governance, aligned to COBIT practices.

Key Responsibilities (COBIT-Aligned)
Operational Leadership Monitoring
COBIT: DSS01 (Manage Operations), DSS03 (Manage Problems)
- Lead proactive monitoring across AppDynamics, CheckMK, and Dynatrace.
- Analyse trends, recurring alerts, and systemic issues.
- Optimise monitoring thresholds and dashboards.
- Guide junior analysts in monitoring and triage practices.
Incident Problem Leadership
COBIT: DSS02, DSS03
- Act as incident lead for major or complex incidents.
- Coordinate remediation activities across internal teams, vendors, and the parent company.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
- Ensure lessons learned are translated into preventative controls.
Capacity Performance Management
COBIT: BAI04 (Manage Availability Capacity)
- Interpret capacity and performance reports across infrastructure and platforms.
- Identify emerging constraints and performance bottlenecks.
- Make evidence-based recommendations for capacity scaling or remediation.
- Support business planning by highlighting technology capacity risks.
Platform Database Oversight
COBIT: DSS01
- Provide senior operational oversight for:
- Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Oracle Database platforms
- Control-M batch scheduling
- Citrix / VDI services
- Engage vendors and parent-company teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Security Risk Oversight
COBIT: DSS05, APO13 (Manage Security)
- Own operational aspects of certificate lifecycle management.
- Maintain awareness of information security risks impacting infrastructure.
- Ensure operational practices align with security and risk requirements.
- Escalate material risks through appropriate governance channels.
Team Enablement Knowledge Leadership
COBIT: APO07 (Manage Human Resources)
- Mentor and coach junior infrastructure analysts.
- Review operational documentation and procedures.
- Promote consistent operational standards and best practices.
- Contribute to skills development and operational maturity.
Skills Experience
- 5 to 7 years technology related experience in the financial services or high volume, high customer impact services industry.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server, LINUX, Solaris
- Monitoring and observability platforms
- Microsoft SQL and Oracle Database environments
- System integration
- Storage solutions
- Networking, load balancing and firewall technologies
- Control-M scheduling
- Citrix / VDI platforms
- Atlassian Jira
- Remedy
- Keen understanding of infrastructure architecture, Cloud technologies, access management principles.
- 3rd Party Vendor Management.
- Understanding of DevOps delivery.
- Whilst the role is primarily operational, the incumbent must have the ability to think and act strategically, as required.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Solid understanding of technology operational risk and governance.
