About the position
A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Group Accountant to lead its group finance function based in Johannesburg North.
This position is a 3-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group financial reporting, consolidations, and statutory reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure IFRS compliance and maintain strong financial controls.
- Manage treasury, taxation, payroll, and shared services.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Drive financial process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Minimum Requirements:
- CA(SA)/ CGMA (CIMA)
- 8 years' relevant finance experience, with at least 4–5 years in a management role.
- Strong experience in group consolidations.
- Advanced ERP systems and Excel skills.
