About the position

Own the full stack. Shape the solution. Raise the bar.

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on engineer who can design, build and support enterprise applications across the front end, API and database layers. This is a technical-lead role for someone who writes clean code, guides others, and takes ownership of what goes into production.

What you’ll do

  • Design and develop enterprise web applications using C#, .NET and Angular
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and system integrations
  • Design and optimise SQL Server databases, queries and stored procedures
  • Turn complex business requirements into maintainable technical solutions
  • Write clean, responsive front-end components with Angular and TypeScript
  • Investigate and resolve defects across the front end, API and database
  • Lead architecture and design discussions
  • Perform code reviews and raise engineering standards
  • Mentor junior and intermediate dev
  • Support testing, deployment, monitoring and production operations
  • Spot technical debt, risks and improvement opportunities early
  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, testers, infrastructure teams and the business
  • Produce clear technical documentation that others can actually use

RequirementsWhat you bring

  • Matric + tertiary qualification
  • 9+ years of professional software development experience
  • 7+ years working with C# and the .NET ecosystem
  • Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript
  • Solid skills in HTML, CSS and responsive design
  • Strong practical experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience integrating multiple internal and external systems
  • Understanding of authentication, authorisation and secure development
  • Experience with Git-based workflows
  • Proven ability to diagnose and support production applications
  • Working knowledge of automated testing and code quality practices
  • Experience working in Agile environments

Highly desirable

  • Azure services and Azure DevOps
  • Docker and containerised workloads
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Legacy application modernisation
  • CQRS or similar architecture patterns
  • Mobile development (Flutter, Ionic or similar)
  • Node.js or React
  • Application observability, logging and performance monitoring
  • Consulting or complex enterprise environment experience
  • UI/UX or usability experience
