About the position
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a remote role, with the option to work hybrid in Cape Town.
Key Requirements
- Qualification: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Software Development or Computer Science.
- Experience: 5+ years in professional software development.
- Strong proficiency in GoLang; experience building production services and understanding concurrency patterns.
- Solid experience with Angular (or similar frameworks like React/Vue) and Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy, or Django).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and RESTful API design.
- Proficiency with Git, code review practices, and modern development workflows.
- Mentoring experience for mid-level and junior engineers.
- Highly desirable: Kafka, CDC/event streaming, ClickHouse or columnar/OLAP databases, and monolith-to-microservices migration experience.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
