Senior Foreman

About the position

An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished Senior Foreman to join our client's construction division in Knysna. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing site activities, driving productivity, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction teams on site.
• Plan and monitor daily work programmes.
• Ensure projects comply with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Manage material usage and site resources effectively.
• Review project drawings and BOQs to support successful execution.
• Maintain strong health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with project management and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
• Assist with planning and preventative maintenance activities where applicable.

Requirements

• At least 8 years' construction experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience across building projects, civil works, renovations, and facilities maintenance.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and materials.
• Working knowledge of BOQs and allowable rates.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities in a fast-paced environment.
