About the position
Senior Financial Project Coordinator
We are seeking a Senior Financial Project Coordinator to provide end-to-end financial oversight and PMO support for a large-scale, strategic business and technology transformation programme. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management, cross-functional coordination, and smooth execution of programme deliverables across multiple business units and funding sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management (Primary Focus):
- Manage complex budgets across multiple streams and funding sources.
- Maintain financial trackers for accruals, forecasts, and actuals.
- Reconcile invoices, POs, timesheets, and contracts.
- Oversee the lifecycle of approximately 60 contract renewals and expirations.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual frameworks (MSA, SOW, WO).
- Provide financial reporting support and maintain audit readiness.
- Act as the key liaison and escalation point for all programme financial matters.
- Own financial processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
Programme & PMO Support:
- Support programme leadership with calendar management and stakeholder engagements.
- Oversee day-to-day project support operations and ensure core PMO functions are delivered efficiently.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding processes, access requests, and team logistics.
- Maintain programme governance documentation and ensure reporting accuracy.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement:
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Coordinate contracting, onboarding, and resource management activities.
- Maintain and support collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and MS Teams.
Skills, Experience and Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma in Finance and or Information Technology.
- +5 years' strong financial management background (financial services/insurance beneficial).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling).
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP, JIRA, Confluence, PPO, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
- Technologically curious, with the ability to navigate modern tools and platforms (e.g., AI, cloud, SaaS).
- Financial or accounting qualification preferred.
- Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
- Strong contract and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence others.
