Senior Financial/ Marketing Manager - Mining
Cape Town / Western Cape
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Financial or Marketing Manager to join their team based in the Cape Town area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the business, from financial management and strategic planning to client engagement and business development.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, solutions-driven all-rounder who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable working across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the company's devisional financial function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and oversee budgets, cash flow forecasts, financial planning, and management accounts.
- Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support executive management with financial insight and commercial decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Play an active role in business development, marketing, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Assist in developing and implementing commercial growth strategies.
- Oversee financial controls, compliance, and internal governance.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, service providers, and key stakeholders.
- Support operational and administrative functions where required.
- Lead and mentor the finance and administrative team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field with MARKETING experience OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing with a FINANCIAL background
- Experience in the mining industry
- Minimum of 8–10 years' experience in a senior financial management role.
- CA(SA) qualification is not required.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Valid driver's license.
