About the position

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely preparation of the payment batch ensuring necessary CRS, BV performed, including duplicate checker
  • Accurate and timely preparation and distribution of bank reconciliations including processing bankovers and bank letters; accurate and timely listing of amounts in bank accounts
  • Accurate and timely review of bank account listings, journals, deposits etc
  • Embrace standard processes and controls throughout and ensure all are adhered to by yourself and the team
  • Accurate and timely listing of FT resident deposits; keep unknown deposits to a minimum by applying policy and pursuing or returning funds in a timely manner
  • Accurate and timely execution of payments; ensure necessary CRS, BV performed; ensure documents received and necessary processes followed for cession, 3rd party and estate late payments and relevant approval obtained as required or reject request up front if appropriate
  • Deliver quality on ad hoc projects (eg ensuring process documents for your areas are maintained and sufficiently detailed, loading WSS tickets to improve workflows and fix issues etc)
  • Cover responsibilities for team leave and assist others in need
  • Take responsibility for incoming calls and allocations on JIRA
  • Accurate and timely processing of PIA non-PIA journals
  • Perform testing on IT fixes, enhancements and upgrades as and when required, including weekends
  • Effectively monitor and action PSP payments in a timely manner, chasing up advisers regularly where insufficient funds or similar
  • Accurate and timely processing and listing of non-resident withdrawals with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Other inc temp cash, End Of Day, ensure documents saved on SharePoint rather than shared drive and transfer relevant historical documents from the shared drive that may be required in the future
  • Timely and effective resolution of queries (advisers, Distribution, clients)
  • Maintain good internal/external client relations
  • Coach and equip team to perform tasks - delegate effectively
  • Promote positive team dynamic and be a role model to the team

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services industry (preferably Securities/Stockbroking)
  • MS Excel
  • BDA system knowledge HIGHLY advantageous

Familiarity with JIRA advantageous
