About the position
Financial Accountant - Investment Firm
Our loyal client which is a' boutique' investment company in La Lucia managing a diverse portfolio across 10 entities, including but, not limited to properties, investments and trusts is seeking a skilled senior Financial Accountant who ticks all the boxes but, is also looking for a role with greater flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations across all companies
- Support executive management with finance-related queries and guide optimal financial processes
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and service providers
- Collaborate closely with directors and assist with various adhoc tasks
- Conduct monthly reporting reviews and financial analysis
- Perform VAT and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist in managing the annual budgeting process
- Prepare monthly and annual management reports for auditors
- Ensure timely statutory and tax preparation and submission

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Honours preferred
- Proven experience in financial management roles
- Ability to work effectively within a small team while handling confidential information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Solid knowledge of financial regulations, risk management, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; Sage experience is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
