About the position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive operational excellence, innovation, and world-class performance in quality, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering department.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of engineering projects and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.
• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projects.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.
• Excellent attention to detail skills.
• Developing and implementing scheduling rules and practices.
• Identifying problems and helping improve processes.
• Using software to generate reports and schedules.

 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and business objectives.

Requirements:

• NQF Level 7 in Mechanical, Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Candidate with a Government Certificate of Competency would be advantages
• Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of operational processes in the lean manufacturing industry.
