Senior Draughtsperson (Engineering) at Glencore

About the position

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Reporting to the Project Engineer.
• Designing of civil, structural, architectural, and engineering drawings according to specifications provided
• Ensuring that all civil, structural, architectural, and engineering drawings are updated and filed correctly.
• Compiling bill of materials and specify material when required.
• Ensuring compliance to building regulations.
• Performing calculations for material and weight limitations.
• Creating and maintaining drawing library.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12.
• NQF Level 6 or higher in Draughting.
• Five (5) years working experience draughtsperson in the mining/smelting environment.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Auto Desk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Building information modelling (BIM) knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Basic resource estimating skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and effectively convey. technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Valid driver's licence.
