Senior Design Draughtsman

About the position

Background:

• Exciting career opportunity for a Senior Design Draughtsman within a manufacturing company

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Technical or CAD drawing subjects advantageous)
• Draughting Diploma/Certificate
• 3D Software Certificate
• 2 - 3 Industrial Air-conditioning & Refrigeration experience
• Reverse Engineering experience
• 3D Drawing Software experience
• Experience on Solid Edge, Rivet, AutoCAD
• HVAC knowledge advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Finalise and define system requirements
• Design system
• Compile engineering drawings
• Prepare general arrangement drawings
• Conduct Supplier searches
• Create and develop 3D models
• Create and update cutting lists in accordance with Drawing Office standards
• Do site measurements
• Select best possible components for designs
• Maintain effective communication with Suppliers
• Create NC programs for Sheet Metal Department
• Issue job cards for all catalogue products as per works order
• Issue job cards for custom equipment as per works order
• Ensure production schedules are kept up to date with the current status
• Ensure that work environment conform to safety requirements
