About the position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out terminal operations as required with adherence to agreed timelines, safety measures and in line with overall objectives
• Ensure availability of the right product in time with no hazards/ risks occurred
• Ensure that product handling take place in accordance with laid-down policy guidelines and standing instructions
• Ensure housekeeping and that work is maintained in a clean, safe and hazard-free condition and the depot equipment is in good working order
• Ensure that stocks is counted, tanks dipped on time as per agreed schedule
• Perform minor plant maintenance as per instructions from the managing/ supervising team
• Coordinate tanker loading and offloading.
• Monitor tank levels and product quality.
• Perform operational inspections and equipment checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Interact and provide support to customers and service providers/ contractors to ensure deliverables are met
• Ensure contractor interface through working with contractors to ensure deliverables are met and provide internal support to contractors

• 2 to 5 years

• Grade 12 / Matric

About The Employer:

Our client based in Epping is looking to acquire an experienced Senior Depot Operator to be based at one of their Sites in Epping. The successful candidates should possesses the following skills and experience:

Minimim Requirements




- Minimum Grade 12 (Matric).
- A qualification in Chemical Engineering, Process Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related technical field will be advantageous.
- 3-5+ years' experience in a petroleum, chemical, oil & gas, or fuel depot environment, with experience in depot or terminal operations.
- Previous supervisory or senior operator experience
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to work under pressure
- Planning and organisational skills
- Sound knowledge of fuel storage and distribution systems
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
