About the position
A well-established company based in Pretoria West is seeking a Senior Debtors and Creditors Clerk with experience within a manufacturing environment to join their team!
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar debtors & creditors role
- Proven experience within a manufacturing environment (sheet metal advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and payable processes
- Experience with credit control, collections and reconciliations
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (Pastel, SAP, Syspro or similar)
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full debtors and creditors functions in a high-volume environment
- Ensure timely collections and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Process and reconcile supplier invoices, statements and payments
- Perform monthly reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts
- Monitor and report on cash flow, debtor aging and payment cycles
- Handle credit control, including risk assessment and limit management
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and queries efficiently
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with audit and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Assist in improving financial processes and support junior staff where required
