About the position
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Specialist: Exit/Disposal to support the execution of investment exits and disposals, ensuring optimal value realisation across a portfolio of investments. The role focuses on designing and executing exit strategies, identifying buyers, and supporting transaction processes across multiple exit channels including trade sales, secondary sales, and IPOs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement effective exit and disposal strategies to maximise value recovery
- Support identification and assessment of potential buyers and exit opportunities
- Provide input into due diligence and transaction structuring for exits
- Analyse portfolio companies and continuously assess exit readiness
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, private equity firms, and strategic buyers
- Advise on exit options for existing investments and new deal structures
- Support negotiation and execution of exit transactions
- Monitor market trends, valuation benchmarks, and industry developments
- Contribute to optimisation of internal exit processes and resources
REQUIREMENTS
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Commercial, Legal or related field
- CA(SA) / MBA
- 8–10 years’ experience in investment exits, private equity, M&A, or commercial banking
- At least 4 years’ experience in business valuation or investment assessment
- Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise
- Experience in sell-side M&A transactions and exit strategy execution
- Strong understanding of financial statements and business risk analysis
- Knowledge of corporate, tax, contract, and insolvency principles
