Senior DC Engineer: Mechatronics
Are you passionate about engineering solutions that drive efficiency and innovation in the warehousing industry? TFG Logistics is seeking a talented Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
As a Mechatronics Engineer at TFG Logistics, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing projects focused on carton and parcel movement within our warehouses. Your responsibilities will include overseeing automation and controls design, managing contractor RFP processes, and ensuring successful installation and adoption of projects and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing projects related to carton and parcel movement, with a focus on automation and controls
- Managing the end-to-end process of contractor RFPs, from vendor selection to contract negotiation
- Overseeing the installation process of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful adoption of new solutions and technologies
- Utilizing analytics to monitor system performance and drive continuous improvements in automation efficiency.
- Ensuring all automation solutions adhere to industry safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Providing technical guidance to operators, maintenance teams, and stakeholders for seamless technology adoption.
- Managing project costs, equipment procurement, and resource allocation for successful implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in the warehousing industry
- Programming in Python, PLC, Network and connectivity setup, data analytics
- Linux, PLC programming Power BI or Pyramid, Data Basis
- Familiar with Industrial Communication protocols (such as ProfiNet, ProfiBus, Ethernet/IP & AS-Interface)
- Basic Electricity Competency (3 phase vs Single phase)

Our logistics team consists of transport and process managers, engineers, pickers, packers and hyster drivers who are responsible for organising the storage and distribution of goods. They ensure cost-effective and efficient last mile fulfilment and by working together they ensure everything runs smoothly.
