About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic Analytics team focused on delivering innovative data-driven solutions that create measurable business value. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to support strategic business decisions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover valuable insights.
- Design, build, validate, and maintain predictive models.
- Perform experimental design and hypothesis testing to validate analytical findings.
- Present technical findings in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the development and enhancement of analytics infrastructure, databases, and reporting solutions.
- Retrain and optimise existing machine learning models where required.
- Assist with migrating existing on-premises analytics solutions to cloud-based platforms.
- Build reports and monitoring solutions to track model performance and stability.
- Promote the adoption of analytics and data science across business units.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Honours or Master's Degree will be advantageous.
- Relevant technical certifications are beneficial.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Science or Analytics.
- Strong experience with Python, SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience delivering analytics projects from concept through implementation.
- Azure experience will be advantageous.
- Experience within Financial Services will be advantageous.
- Advanced statistical analysis and machine learning.
