About the position
Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead advanced analytics initiatives across our software development organization. In this role, you will transform complex data from CRM, Help Desk, Finance, and software release systems into actionable insights that drive product strategy, operational efficiency, and executive decision-making. You will act as a trusted data partner to Engineering, Product, Finance, and Customer Success teams.
Description
- Lead end-to-end analysis of complex datasets across CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), Help Desk (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk), Finance (e.g., ERP, billing, SAGE), and software release systems (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD tools)
- Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support product development, release health, customer experience, and financial performance
- Analyse software delivery metrics such as release frequency, cycle time, defect trends, and incident resolution
- Partner with Engineering and Product leaders to define success metrics, experiment measurement, and long-term analytics strategy
- Provide deep-dive analyses and executive-ready insights to support roadmap planning, forecasting, and operational improvements
- Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation across multiple systems and data pipelines
- Automate recurring analyses and reporting to improve efficiency and reliability
- Mentor junior analysts and promote analytics best practices across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles, preferably in a software development environment
- Advanced SQL expertise and experience working with complex relational datasets
- Strong experience with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Proven experience analysing data from:
- CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho)
- Help Desk / ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk)
- Finance systems (e.g., ERP, billing, revenue recognition)
- Software release and delivery systems (e.g., Jira, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD tools)
- Strong statistical analysis and data modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and automation
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps metrics
- Experience supporting SaaS products and subscription-based business models
- Experience working with large-scale, cross-functional data ecosystems
