Purpose of the Role: Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management for mining construction projects while supporting capital sourcing strategies. Ensure regulatory compliance (Mining Charter, BBBEE), cost optimization, and supplier performance in a high-stakes procurement environment.
Employment Type: Limited duration contract, ending 31 Mar 2026
Requirements:
- BCom with a commercial or legal background (Essential)
- 3–5 years experience in contract management, procurement, or supply chain on mining construction project's
- Proven experience in contractual claims management and construction-based procurement
- Familiarity with MS Office, databases, and contract management systems
- Ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts and SLAs
Key Responsibilities
- Full contract lifecycle management: drafting, negotiation, monitoring, renewal, and termination
- Compile and issue RFQs, adjudicate tenders, and support procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with SLPs, BBBEE, Mining Charter, and internal governance
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage contractual obligations and disputes
- Drive cost-savings initiatives and supplier development programs
- Administer reporting on contract KPIs and performance metrics
- Contribute to functional and process excellence initiatives
- Participate in capital project planning and sourcing strategies
