About the position
A Very Exciting Opportunity for Any Passionate and Seasoned Contract Administrator Playing in the Renewable Energy Sector! You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a knack for navigating complex FIDIC contractual landscapes and thrive in a collaborative environment, equipped with strong communication skills to effectively manage multiple stakeholders. You have a keen eye for risk assessment and a passion for ensuring project success. If this sounds like you, this role might be the perfect next step in your career! In this 24-month Fixed-Term Contract as a Senior Contract Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the contractual aspects of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases. Your responsibilities will include identifying and mitigating contractual risks, drafting contractual communications, and facilitating knowledge transfer among project stakeholders. You'll work closely with the Construction Contracts Manager to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and proactively address any claims or disputes that may arise. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects while making a tangible impact on project outcomes. Our client, a leading independent power producer in South Africa, is at the forefront of developing, financing, and operating commercial renewable energy generation facilities. To excel in this role, you'll need a degree in the built environment/engineering or construction law, along with a minimum of 5 years experience in large complex projects within the energy industry, preferably renewable projects that show that exposure. Your expertise in contract administration and management, coupled with strong communication and analytical skills, will be essential for success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel nationally are also required. In addition to a competitive salary package and medical aid/provident benefit structures, our client offers the opportunity to work on high-impact renewable energy projects and collaborate with a talented team of local and international industry experts.
