About the position
Job Purpose
The Senior Internal Communication Manager will be responsible for developing and executing an internal
communications and engagement plan aligned with organization CIB's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and
Customer Value Proposition (CVP) commitments. This role involves writing and distributing communications around
deals concluded by organization CIB, managing internal communications from the Managing Executive (ME) of organization's
CIB, and leading major internal events. The candidate will also support HR, Marketing, and other departments in
delivering key messages, campaigns, and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Communication Strategy: Develop and execute a holistic internal communication plan that aligns with organization CIB's strategic goals and EVP & CVP commitments.
- Content Creation and Writing: Write and distribute communications related to deals, awards, and results. This includes emailers, scripts for events and webinars, and communications from the ME's office. Ensure all content is clear, concise, and tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- Event Management: Lead and manage all major internal events such as leadership conferences, and recognition functions.
- Staff Activations: Conceptualize and run staff activations to enhance employee engagement.
- Channel Management: Review and refresh internal communication channels, tech stack, tone of voice, and look and feel. Streamline and manage all channels, ensuring they are effective and aligned with the overall communication strategy.
- Effectiveness Measurement: Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication channels and initiatives, including consumption and engagement with content.
- Collaboration: Support HR, Marketing, and other departments with internal communication plans and campaigns.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
- Relevant degree in Communication, Public Relations, Media, Journalism, Marketing, Business, English, or a related field.
Minimum Experience Level
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and executing communication strategies in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience in internal communications.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in corporate and investment banking, is highly
desirable. - Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality communication materials and support.

- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write for different briefs, platforms, and audiences.
- Strong understanding of corporate and investment banking, including the ability to read, understand, and communicate complex deals and financial results.
- Proficiency in creating and executing communication plans.
