Senior Civil Engineer – Windhoek, Namibia

About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic engineering consultancy based in Windhoek, Namibia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging infrastructure and mining-related projects across Southern Africa, with a focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design projects from concept to construction.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical reporting.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc or BEng); a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN) or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably within infrastructure, mining, or water sectors.
• Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project).
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
