About the position
Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior C++ Developer to join their team. Initially, the position will be remote, with the possibility of transitioning to onsite work in Pretoria as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++ development and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software using C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement complex solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to software applications.
- Ensure software is developed to meet client needs and adheres to company standards.
- Optimize and refactor code to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in C++ development.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, algorithms, and data structures.
- Proven experience in developing high-performance, scalable applications.
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- South African Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Previous experience working with embedded systems or real-time applications.
