Business Intelligence Consultant
The Enterprise Data Architecture department is seeking a senior business intelligence consultant, with key focus on SAP BW/HANA/BO.
The primary purpose of this role is to build, support and maintain BI and analytics solutions based on SAP BW4/HANA (BW on HANA) and SAP BusinessObjects.
The candidate should also be able to advise and guide internal clients and teams through SAP's BW/HANA/BO offerings, applications and features.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mining engineers and production teams to design BI solutions that support ore extraction, processing efficiency, and safety compliance.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs for underground and surface operations, including tonnage, grade, recovery rates, and equipment utilization.
- Responsible for SAP BW/HANA/BO solutions throughout the complete development lifecycle; from design through to implementation and production support.
- Analyze business requirements, review existing systems and solutions and prepare detailed design documentation.
- Translate technical design specifications into an efficient, elegant and highly performant solution.
- Design, develop and support BW data models using LSA/LSA++ architecture
- Design and develop queries, reports, workbooks and analytic solutions using primarily SAP BI technologies including BW Modeling Tools (BWMT), BEx, Analysis for Office (A4O), Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports.
- SAP BW ETL design and development - transformations, routines, formulas and DTPs.
- SAP BW/BO back-end development and configuration, testing and pre-production support.
- Deliver comprehensive, easy to consume, reporting solutions that leverage relevant analytics toolsets.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of end-to-end SAP BW modeling and development experience.
- Minimum 7 years of core modeling and development on SAP BW4/HANA or BW on HANA.
- Minimum 7 years of SAP BO development and/or support experience (WebI, Crystal Reports).
- Proficiency in SAP BW modeling, system architecture design and performance optimization.
- Experience with the agile development methodology.
