You don't wait for leads - you create them. You're comfortable picking up the phone, challenging thinking, and pushing conversations forward. You've got the resilience to handle long sales cycles and the focus to keep momentum when others stall. You take ownership, think commercially, and care about closing deals that actually matter.
You'll be out in the market finding and unlocking new opportunities in the C&I renewable energy space. This is hands-on business development - building your own pipeline, opening doors, and turning conversations into bankable deals. You'll lead engagements from first contact through to signed agreements, shaping solutions, navigating complexity, and working closely with internal teams to get deals over the line. It's a role where persistence pays off and where you'll see the tangible results of the deals you close.
You'll join a well-backed renewable energy investment group with an established footprint and serious growth ambitions. They operate across South Africa and the broader region, funding and delivering large-scale energy solutions. The environment is commercial, fast-moving, and collaborative - built for people who take ownership and want to make things happen.
You've got 3-5 years' experience in business development or sales, and you can point to deals you've personally driven and closed. You know how to build a pipeline from scratch, and you're comfortable working through complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes. A network in the C&I space will give you a strong edge. Experience in energy or infrastructure deals helps, but what really matters is your ability to originate, structure, and close.
