About the position
My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the discovery phase by assisting with business cases, high-level requirements, solution design, and architecture discussions.
- Develop and execute the Business Analysis approach and strategy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders.
- Conduct impact assessments to determine business and system implications.
- Elicit, analyse, document, validate, and manage business and functional requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and supporting artefacts.
- Create and maintain Epics, Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyse and document current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements and gap analysis.
- Support solution design by collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect management, and sign-off.
- Deliver user training and support change management activities where required.
- Provide post-implementation support and assist with business-as-usual (BAU) activities.
- Work closely with technical teams to understand data flows, system integrations, and interface requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Business Analysis certification (e.g. CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, FTI or equivalent).
- Minimum of 7 years' proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience within the retail industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including forecasting and replenishment.
- Experience with AI-driven forecasting and replenishment solutions is advantageous.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience will be beneficial.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
- Proven track record of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management, business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Strong understanding of data, system integrations, and interfaces.
