About the position
The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to identify business needs, define requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions within the banking sector. The SBA will lead the analysis and design of solutions for strategic and regulatory initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, industry regulations, and customer needs.
- Engage with stakeholders across business units (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Retail, Corporate, Treasury) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Lead requirement elicitation sessions (interviews, workshops, JAD sessions).
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, and Development Teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes to business processes or systems.
- Create and maintain process models, data flow diagrams, and business cases.
- Support UAT planning and execution; develop test scenarios and support defect triage.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to BA practice maturity within the organization.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
