Senior Business Analyst: AI & Intelligent Automation

About the position

Are you passionate about solving business problems with AI? We're looking for a Senior AI Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business and technology.

In this role, you'll work with business teams to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for AI and automation, and help turn ideas into real solutions that deliver measurable value.

You'll be involved from the very beginning of a project, understanding processes and assessing feasibility, all the way through to implementation, testing, go-live support, and measuring results.



What You'll Do



Discover Opportunities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand processes and pain points.
• Identify opportunities for AI, automation, machine learning, or process improvement.
• Assess whether a solution is feasible and worthwhile.
• Build business cases and estimate expected benefits.

Analyse Processes and Data

• Map current and future business processes.
• Understand how data flows through the business.
• Identify gaps, risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Break down business processes into tasks suitable for AI agents and automation.

Define and Deliver Solutions

• Gather and document business requirements.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Support Agile delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Testing and Go-Live Support

• Design and execute test scenarios.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support deployment, training, and business adoption.
• Ensure solutions deliver the expected business outcomes.

Governance and Risk

• Ensure solutions comply with POPIA, security, and governance requirements.
• Define decision-making controls for AI and agent-based solutions.
• Maintain clear audit trails and documentation.

What We're Looking For

Essential

? Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field

? 6+ years' Business Analysis experience

? 2+ years' experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, Data, or Automation projects

? Strong SQL skills

? Understanding of AI solutions including:

• Machine Learning
• Generative AI and LLMs
• AI Agents
• Automation technologies

? Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms

? Process modelling experience (BPMN or similar)

? Agile/Scrum delivery experience

Preferred ? CBAP, CCBA, or IIBA certification

? Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement experience

? RPA, Workflow Automation, or Intelligent Document Processing exposure

? Telecommunications, Financial Services, or large enterprise experience
