JOB PROFILE / LOCATION: A Permanent Specialist Level Role in the Engineering Sector based in Cape Town (W Cape)

REMUNERATION DATA: R35, 000.00 - R50, 000.00 (Total Monthly Cost to Company)

JOB SUMMARY: My Client is in search of an experienced Senior Bridges Draughtsperson. The successful incumbent will be responsible for producing high-quality structural drawings for major bridge and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with SANS standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities will include: -

• Produce site plans, structural layouts, and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures
• Prepare and review drawings in line with SANS codes and project standards
• Perform quality checks and issue approved drawings for construction
• Assist with quantities, tender documentation, and project records
• Review fabrication drawings and support site inspections when required
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ISO 9001 standards
• Mentor and oversee junior draughtspersons and technicians

Criteria / Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in structural draughting (bridges, concrete, and steel)
• National Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience on major bridge projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software
• Reinforcement detailing experience
• 3D modelling experience (e.g., Revit)
• Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with a proactive, positive attitude
• Qualifications & Technical Skills (Advantageous)
