About the position
Introduction
In support of the Marketing Manager, effectively manage all key strategic activities of the brand marketing plan within Southern Africa and across all relevant markets in order to ensure that the brand continues to grow and remains relevant to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Input and support the Marketing Manager in the development of the brand strategy and marketing plan.
- Assist in delivering on the brand's digital and technology plan.
- Manage the brand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program, encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty. This includes segmenting the database, developing CRM campaigns and analysing and producing monthly reports on the growth of the database and success of campaigns.
- Drive database acquisition through acquisition campaigns as well as through building and maintaining 3 rd party vouchering partnerships.
- Utilise consumer research to gain consumer insights that drive informed decisions.
- Analyse sales data and report on the performance of promotions and menu sales mix (by channel).
- Manage the evaluation of competitor activity, pricing, promotional offers and report monthly.
- Seek new opportunities to deliver against the brand plan and/or improve the plan
- Liaise with advertising agencies, strategic partners and suppliers in delivering against CRM plans.
- Drive menu optimisation with regards to pricing strategy, menu mix and channel margin management to achieve targeted GPs and deliver value to the brand's customer base.
- Manage and co-ordinate national menu rollouts (digital, static, self-service terminals, online channels).
- Support managing the marketing budget to ensure spend is aligned to objectives and brand plan.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Formal Education
- Completed Matric / Grade 12
- Degree in Marketing Management or similar
Experience
- Minimum of 5 year's as a Senior Brand Manager preferably in the FMCG/ Retail/ food franchising industry.
- Understanding and exposure of South African media environment.
- Excellent Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Strong brand building and sales exposure accountability.
- Management of budgets.
- Intensive knowledge of the emerging markets.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate all levels.
- Highly numerate and computer literacy (inclusive of PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Sound digital marketing experience.
- Proactive thinker and strong promblem-solving skills and initiative.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Deadline driven and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Management of budgets.
