Senior Bookkeeper

About the position

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established multinational manufacturing company based in Germiston, Gauteng.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team within a globally connected organization. Please note, while the official job title is “Bookkeeper” (aligned with corporate standards across regions), the position is Senior-level, as reflected in both the responsibilities and competitive salary offering.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records up to Trial Balance
  
  
• General ledger and lead sheet maintenance
  
  
• Accounts Receivable and Customer ledger processing and reconciliations
  
  
• Accounts Payable and Supplier ledger processing and reconciliations
  
  
• Bank, payment, and credit card reconciliations
  
  
• Process monthly journals and adjustments
  
  
• Maintain the fixed asset register
  
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
  
  

Additional Duties:

• Manage inventory control systems and processes
  
  
• Liaise with customers regarding spare part orders
  
  
• Prepare quotations, process orders, invoices, and coordinate stock distribution
  
  
• Plan and oversee stock takes
  
  
• Coordinate visa and travel arrangements
  
  
• Provide back-office support and handle general office administration (e.g., refreshments, canteen supplies, stationery)
  
  

Requirements

• English as a first language.
• Diploma or Degree in Finance (minimum requirement)
  
  
• Previous experience working within a multinational company is a strong advantage
• Approximately 10 years of experience as a Senior Bookkeeper
  
  
• Proven experience with SAGE Evolution Accounting Package
  
  
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  
  
  
• Must have own transport
