About the position
We are looking for a Senior Angular Developer to join a banking Rewards portfolio and contribute to the delivery of customer-facing digital solutions within a large-scale banking environment.
The successful candidate will work across a portfolio of initiatives, helping to build new solutions, enhance existing applications, and support delivery teams in achieving key business outcomes. While Angular development is the primary focus, the environment rewards individuals who are curious, proactive and willing to investigate problems beyond the immediate scope of front-end development.
This role suits an experienced developer who enjoys working independently, solving complex problems and contributing to delivery outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
You will work in a technology environment that includes modern Angular development, Java-based backend services, RESTful API integrations, Jira and Confluence, Agile and hybrid delivery practices, and enterprise-scale digital banking platforms.
2. Responsibilities / What Success Looks Like
Core responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain modern Angular applications.
- Deliver high-quality, scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.
- Contribute to greenfield development as well as existing platform enhancements.
- Participate in technical design discussions and solution reviews.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Quality Engineers and back-end teams.
- Contribute to code reviews and development best practices.
- Support delivery across multiple initiatives within the banking Rewards portfolio when required.
- Escalate technical risks, dependencies and blockers appropriately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering environment.

- Develop a strong understanding of the banking Rewards platform, delivery teams and business priorities.
- Become productive within the team’s Angular codebase and delivery practices.

- Strong commercial Angular experience.
- Proven delivery of production-ready front-end solutions.
- Experience building applications and features from the ground up.
- Strong grasp of modern front-end principles and practices.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex application issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate practical capability in a hands-on technical assessment.

- Loyalty, banking Rewards or customer-facing digital platform experience.
- Exposure to Java-based backend environments.

Direct banking or Rewards experience is useful. Strong Angular capability, problem-solving and evidence of delivering high-quality software in a complex environment matter more.
